ENRICH

Here is something the standard TA model does not fully account for: the Parent ego state in most organizations is not neutral. It has a cultural template. And if your cultural identity does not match that template, you will find yourself being pushed into Adapted Child -- not because of your own emotional programming, but because of the institution's.

The standard is set by the dominant culture. Anything outside that standard gets labeled: too emotional, too aggressive, too much, not professional enough. That label is a Parent voice -- and it is designed to keep you in Child.

Staying Adult in this context requires something extra: the ability to recognize when you are being managed by institutional bias AND stay regulated enough to respond strategically.
