AI Companion — Adult in the Room for ENRICH Outsiders
The standard TA course teaches you to stay Adult. Good advice. But for ENRICH Outsiders, staying Adult in a room that reads the same behavior differently — more threatening, less credible, less welcome — requires strategy the standard course does not cover. The Room gives you that strategy.
The Adapted Child Tax: why ENRICH professionals are pushed toward compliance that reads as weakness
The Critical Parent from above: when the institution itself is the ego state you are navigating
Ulterior transactions in ENRICH workplaces: "You are so articulate" and what it actually means
Crossed transactions as destabilization: how to hold the Adult line when it is being pulled from under you
The Assertiveness Premium: why the same words require more management from ENRICH professionals
Accountability double standards: owning what you did without performing submission

Welcome. I am The Room.
The standard Transactional Analysis course gives you the tools to stay Adult: grounded, assertive, accountable. All of that is real and it works. But the standard course was not written with you in mind.
It does not tell you what to do when the same assertive communication that earns respect for your colleague earns you a performance improvement plan. It does not explain why staying Adult sometimes requires more energy from you than from anyone else in the room. And it does not address what happens when the Critical Parent is not a person — it is the institution itself.
This companion works from Duane Andrews' TA framework with an ENRICH Outsider lens. We will name what is actually happening in your workplace transactions, and build the Adult strategy that accounts for the room you are actually in.
