Environments with chronically biased or inconsistently applied feedback systems impose a real cost on ENRICH professionals over time: the cost of continuously sorting signal from noise, absorbing feedback that does not reflect your actual performance, and managing the emotional labor of receiving criticism in higher volume than your peers. At some point, that cost should factor into your assessment of whether a particular institutional environment is worth your continued investment.
